![]() The Humbly Submitted Ministries Radio Ministry for the month of May 2011 basic inductive bible study from Psalm 55, which consists of 23 verses and depicts the Psalmist David in a time of great sorrow. (The background Scripture for this Psalm is 2nd Samuel 17th chapter.) This psalm relates the Psalmist's betrayal by someone he least expected to betray him (Psalm 55:13-14) and David was in deep sorrow. He prayed for peace from the Lord. The Psalmist gives affirmation of the importance of giving all burdens to the Lord for He will sustain us. (Psalm 55:22) The Humbly Submitted Ministries Radio Ministry for the month of June 2011 basic inductive Bible study studied a passage from the Gospel according to St. Luke. There is not any controversy as to Luke recognized as the author of the book of Luke; however, there is controversy as to whether he is Gentile or Jew. According to the information of the Schofield Bible, Luke is of Jewish ancestry. We always encourage research and study for the areas of ambiguity. Our passage of study was Luke 10:1-14 verses. This passage deals with the sending forth of the 70 disciples (some readings may indicate 72). The focus of this study was to observe the ripeness of the harvest and the need for more laborers in the vineyard. We observed how the Lord instructed the disciples as to what to expect, how to prepare themselves, and how to receive rejection. The disciples returned very jubilant for they saw how they were able to do many things unto the glory of God. The Lord cautioned them to rejoice for they were allowed to see and do many things but the focus should be that their names are written in the Book of Life. We are encouraged to come forth as laborers in the vineyard for the spiritual harvest is ripe.
Each month you had an opportunity to participate in the Bible Trivia, that was shared on the radio. ![]()
